Jon Caulfield, Ph.D.

Jon is a Hargreaves Distinguished Professor of Forest Finance, Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, University of Georgia. He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Forest Economics from North Carolina State University, and a B.S. in Forest Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

 

He has held senior research positions at major timberland investment management firms including Director of Research for BTG Pactual Timberland Group and RMK Timberland Group, Vice President, Research and Investment Strategy for TimberVest and Senior Forest Economist at Wachovia Bank.

 

Jon also previously held faculty positions at Auburn University and the University of Georgia.  During his time at the latter he founded Timberland Fiduciary Research, a consulting firm providing economic analysis, investment strategy development, forecasting, due diligence and other research to timberland investors and owners.

 

At Adohi Partners, Jon’s roles include macroeconomic analysis, acquisition inspection and modeling and underwriting.
